Councilman Hall of Torrevieja, Pedro Valero Mazon, reports that the British Youth Band Jazz "Helston School Jazz Orchestra" will perform four concerts this summer in the city of Torrevieja, organized by the Department of Immigration in collaboration with the Municipal Institute Culture "Joaquin Chapaprieta."

Pedro Valero has indicated that this is one of the best British Jazz Bands youth (style "Big Band"), founded in Helston (Cornwall) in 1989 and has chosen the city of Torrevieja offer as a destination for summer concerts, on 31 July 1,2 and 4 August.

This prestigious group, led by Clive King, has numerous awards and is composed by young music students from the School of Helston, aged between 14 and 19 years.

Since its foundation has provided important concerts arousing enthusiasm in his audience in both the UK and abroad, having won major awards that they have become a leading jazz bands in the UK.

Has performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival and Geneva, Switzerland, and Italy, northern Spain, Malta, DisneyLand Paris and has acted several times by the famous orchestra "Syd Lawrence."

His latest recording includes famous works like "American Patrol" and "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" and performances of soloists in works like "That Ol 'Devil Called Love" and "They Can not Take That Away From Me."

This summer in Torrevieja have a special thanks to the outdoor concerts offered by the young musicians on tours of the city. They also have a beneficial action in the Municipal Theater, a benefit of AFA Torrevieja.

The dates for the concerts are:

Saturday 31 July at 19.30 am in the Garden of Nations as part of the event "Dance of the Nations."

Sunday 1 August at 21.00 pm in the Municipal Theater. Entrance 3 euros for the Alzheimer's Association (AFA Torrevieja). Ticket box office at a price of 3 euros.

Monday August 2, at 2230 hours, on the Paseo Marítimo Juan Aparicio.

August 4 Wednesday, at 22.30 am in the Embarcadero Plaza de la Mata.
